Those are only M8 bolts.

Am aware but think torque wrench a bit out of spec. Will go by experience rather

I don't know what torque wrench you have, but I had a cheapish torque wrench that didn't work well with low values. The one I have now is a bit more expensive and seems to work better. I also have a needle type one that I use to double check.

Make sure you on the right scale, as most have foot pounds as well as Nm

We use FT quite a lot in ship repair when tightening nuts with 100 mm plus flogging spanners.

Quick question. If i have both wheels off the ground, 1st gear in and turn one wheel to ensure splines go into clutch. Surely when bellhousing gap almost closed the engine should start to turn?
Or is the diff allowing the other wheel to turn rather than the gearbox input shaft ?
Bit worried now

No Because of the reduction ratio to the spigot shaft, it will rather turn the other wheel, and in the opposite direction.

This is normal, but if you block the other wheel, it will take a lot of force to turn the engine.

Thats why the car jerks when you push start it.
