Hi Guys,
I would like to fit some new wheels and tires to a 71' beetle. I was hoping to fit a 15"x 8 Smoothie wheel (5x205 PCD ET25) at the rear and 15"x 5 Smoothie wheel (5x205 PCD ET20.5) at the front.
My one concern is the wheel and tire may be too wide at the rear and it scrapes up against something.
Can anyone confirm for me that this configuration will fit without any issues? Are there any spacers I would require or any other weird and wonderful items to get the wheels and tires to fit?
Thanks guys.
Rob

Re: Wheel and Tyre Widths
It all depends on what your offset is "8" is for 205 or wider tyre and the "5" is a std vw size so 155 wide.
What size tyre do you want to fit, as the 8 would have to be offset to the inside, but the 5 could be standard.
