I think it will be a matter of opion.I will go with a thin rubber and a removable carpet.Easy to clean and can leave the carpet out for camping trips ect.

DO NOT RUBBERISE.
DEPENDS ON USE. IN CYNDI'S BUS WE LAID A THIN PLY AND THEN A VINYL. EASY TO CLEAN AFTER GOING FOR A SURF OR CAMP.
IN MINE I HAVE HEAVY DUTY CAR CARPET. LOOKS GREAT AND STYLISH BUT IT'S A LOT OF WORK TO KEEP CLEAN, ALSO THE UNDERFELT HOLDS MOISTURE IF IT GETS WET.

For me it needs to be easy to clean and still look good even though it is being used. I thought thin rubber with carpet over it will do the job.

Why not rubberise?

Laminated flooring with under floor layer of foam or what ever they call it.Fitted to both my campers and can take a punishing and easy to clean. One can take them out easy if you want to clean under the floor. My 2 cents worth.

Get a heavy rubber mat cut to fit wall to wall, then plaxe a cleanable carpet on top.

As said, when you know the dog is going with or its a dirty trip, leave the carpet at home.

When you get back rubber mat on driveway, hose it down, let dry, van as good as new with little effort.

MOISTURE GETS TRAPPED UNDER THE RUBBERISING AND THE ROT STARTS. YOU DON'T SEE IT TILL IT'S WAY TOO LATE.

Makes sense that rubberizing can cause problems. Not sure yet what I will do with my floor, but figured that it should have a thin rubber base and then a "fancy" top cover over the rubber, probably carpet.

rubber also attracts moisture and keeps it from evaporating. Make sure whatever you do is breathable.
