Type 3 Squareback Motor !!

The Squareback I’ve just bought is fitted with a 1700cc Type-4 motor

Problem is that it’s fitted with single barrel manifolds with Weber carb

Carb is way to high

Will dual carb manifolds be lower as I need to make plan

you need to get very low profile manifolds and low profile air filters if you want to use dual webers - the only other option is 411/412 filter and carb arrangement (if it will fit in a T3)

Have a look at my Fastback thread, I have fitted the short Manifolds and 34 ICT with pancake cartridge air filters.....

If you need more space for the cover, you can always oval out the holes on your gearbox front mount beam, that will give a 10 to 20 mm extra.

If you want the type 4 plastic air filter system works well, I have it on my Bay Bus the one with a square cartridge in it.
