Post by No More Landy »

Hi guys

Do you know where I can get see through plastic sheeting to replace faded and cracked lenses in my instrument cluster for the indicators, brights and oil light.

I had the same issue before, also went to Maizeys, but, they could'nt help, it is such tiny pieces of product that you need.

I ended up going to Pick n Pay and buying three plastic A4 folders, green, red and blue (transparent variety) and cutting a small piece off each.
It worked perfectly.

(also tried sweet wrappers, but too thin)

Ya, Maizeys only have thick plastic.

I am going to try an art shop as those plastic folders are too light and don't have those nice dark green and red colours

There are plenty of different varieties, but, yes the common folders these days are of a lighter shade and have an opaque hue. The older ones have more deeper and richer colours - check around the house or raid the kids rooms ;)
I'm sure I still have some which I can cut sections off and post to you if you don't come right
