1973 Beetle Jack

Anybody have a '73 Beetle that can post or send me a picture of what the jack looks like? I know it fits on the floor underneath the rear seat on the RHS. Anybody have one for sale perhaps? Bought the car without any tools. Much appreciated. Jacques 0834544931

I can't see your pics, but I believe the 1970s beetles had a scissor jack with a square extension that engaged with the jacking point.

The pics I posted do not show the jack you describe, but the text says that it is for '72 upward Beetles. I have a jack in my 1971 Beetle, which I believe was originally issued with the car, which fits what you describe. At first I thought it might have been a South Africa only item, but it's offered by Jbugs.com as well. Image below:

Thanks for all your input, now only to find a scissor jack like that, without having to import one.

Why not use a normal scissor jack and weld a piece of square bar that fits in the Beetle slot?

its a bit more complicated than that, the bottom is also offset, but doable
No sense being pessimistic. It wouldn't work anyway.

Just a straight jack with square tube welded on will not work as the car rotates away from the jack and the top of the jack rotates away from the car,

This could lead to an injury waiting to happen,

Rather use the normal scissor jack on the normal way.
