Thanks all. I am pleased that they came out well. I will probably remove the Z-bar this weekend and get it fitted - will let you know how I feel about it once it is installed.
I am in two minds about selling these. Aside from a few minor changes to make it easier to install, the plans are already available and I dont mind sharing them with the community here. People can then fab-up their own, and I would consider it my way of giving back after all of the help I have received from the folks here.
Else, if I can find a supply of leaf springs, then I could sell them without too much difficulty to anyone who is not willing or able to fabricate their own.

Boet Simmy,..you're a star! Most impressive !!!! you,ve done a great job!
Now you mentioned that you may share drawings of parts ?,......we are currently building a plastic porsche. ..for which there is a 2L golf engine waiting on the stand,..........Yes it's going watercool,.....but it's not my decision . With that amount of torque and horses available a CC will be required!......come to think about it ,..Haans the old goat ! Could do with some stiffening up too
Regards Haans

Thanks Haans! Sounds like fun... Water/air regardless! What model are you building up? A 356?
Happy to share what I have. Just drop a PM with your email address.
Also happy to send the template for a midmount if even more stiffness is required

Does the pivot in the centre make any difference ?
No sense being pessimistic. It wouldn't work anyway.
