I am a Student in PTA, and I live in a commune along with 7 other guys.
In the last 6 months they have broken into the cars here 8 times, striking mine for the second time!
The first time they broke the window and stole the stuff inside... Then I had Smash and grab applied...

So now they couldnt break the window... guess what they did :

Jup, the bastards wedged open the door with something, stuffing up the whole door, stole my radio and sound, and my licence that I always keep in the car!
So now the panelbeaters say they cant fix it, the need to replace the door! :( :( Dont even wanna know what thats going to cost me! :(
Fcuk we dont know how to keep them out anymore, I mean we stay in the church grounds, the actually come into the church to steal! I hope these Fcukers die before we get hold of them!

That area is notorious for this kinda shit happening.

Cannot understand how somebody could be so evil to maliciously damage property like that for their own selfish needs :x

Sorry to hear about the damage on your car.
since its not the first time try add something to warn
you like alarm, I noticed it's better than none.

My younger sister is a police woman,
they did the same thing to her car using the same tactic.
When I went to investigate how they did it
I found a big flat screwdriver tied to a piece of cloth.
They slot it between the door and the body, then they pull it
out making the half of the door open, as the joints on the
door allows the window's half to swing out without breaking, they access to
the handle ,unlock and they now have full access.
I then advised her to install extra sensors when she installs the alarm,
That worked wonders cause when they came again, the alarm went,
the thug had two gunshots.
Before he could even open the door, the sh**t idiot ran for his life.
he left behind his per of Tekkies, since then the house has been quite.
I hate these F****kers as we work hard for these things.

Don't consider me callous, but consider yourself lucky.

Some time ago a girl came to the shop to have her replacement radio fitted. She drove a very well kept box shape Corolla, that she had inherited from her granny.

The bastards broke the complete skin off the left front door, so you could see the window mechanism from the outside.

They then proceeded to break the dashboard out of the car. All that was left was the bit around the gauge cluster and the top pad of the dashboard. Everything else was gone. Glove box, heater and ventilation controls, complete hang down section of the dashboard, the lot...

Because of the age of the car and the agents' planned redundancy policy no replacement parts were available .....

They did the exact same thing with my girlfriends car, also a Opel. I wound down the window, with the door open, brace one hand on the bottom part of the door (on the inside) and then gently push/pull the top edge of the door back inwards, the window frame bends back quite easily and you are left with a bit of a dent on the inside panel of the door, but nothing to serious.

I first noticed that method of breaking into cars in Paris a decade ago; wondered when it would show up here. Since cars are made of tupperware and tinfoil these days it's just too easy to bend the top of the door.

The problem with booby traps is they mostly catch the people who set them or, worse, other innocent parties.

Best booby trap I ever heard of was a tazer attached to the steering column (and then upholstered over), triggered by a pressure switch in the driver's seat, all controlled by the car alarm, which was a silent type that sent a message to the owner's pager.
