@ Klaus: Yes, we reported it to the bank, who have tracked the transaction to Smith Street, Dbn. We have also approached CellC to get the RICA information regarding the number. We had a bit of a hard time trying to report the case to the police (Douglasdale), who were totally disinterested, and told us straight that they don't have the resources to follow up on a "soft crime". I lost my temper slightly, and asked the 'lady' why they have resources to put behind every second tree with a bloody camera, but they're not prepared to release resources to investigate actual crimes. I was told that she 'doesn't like my attitude'. By this time, I was really annoyed, and replied that my attitude bears no relevance to her and her colleagues actual competency, upon which she walked away from the counter and refused to attend to us any further. But, I have not left it there, I then went to a different police station (Linden), opened the case there, and laid a complaint...

Beetle engine fraudster

In 2015 went to buy an engine for Beetle from Beetle Conection in Roseville, Pretoria.
That engine ran fairly well until the flywheel came adrift.
I returned to Beetle Connection for a second engine.
When I went to fetch the car the engine was so weak that it was not able to move the car.
After a short while I wanted to fetch my car but for 18 months was not able to get hold of Beetle Connection.
The SAPS found my car at the Pastor next door.

Staminaman, please don't add new subjects to exisiting posts; rather start a new topic. Before starting a new topic, please use the search function to see if there's already a topic covering the same subject. The Roseville "engine builders" have been covered in another post. I've copied your post over to the relevant topic, which can be found
here.
