SPeaking about Bose.. my Avant came with an OEM built in Bose amp and subwoofer assembly in the left hind corner. Awesome sound. The previous owner put in a JVC headunit as well but never wired it up correctly... imagine my surprise when I hooked it up as it should be :D

Something like this.

my bug.... all installed by myself
centre console with only the oil pressure, oil temp and A/F mixture gauges visable, TOP of the range Alpine headunit hidden in there.
4x85WRMS Amp
2x60WRMS Amp
fronts - JBI GT 6" splits in kick panels
Rears, JBL GT 5" splits in side panels
Sub - JBL GT152 15" Sub.
Fully stealth

My Mazda... - all installed by myself, still ironing out some issues.
Stock headunit
Fosgate Hi-Lo level converter
active X-over network
2x JBL Amps - both 4x 142 WRMS
all 4 doors has a 6" JBL split

Zero holes cut in car, zero mods to car for install, can be fully converted back to stock in less that 2 hours (if you know how)

In the DarkSide I listen to the Sounds of Silence as all the audio equipment is GONE! It allows me to better appreciate the harmonious sounds coming from the Force which sounds like this
What do you think?

A finely tuned air cooled flat for with a non-standard silencer (oxymoron) is by far more superior than any sound sytem

I dunno, stock exhaust whistle going under a bridge or through a tunnel rates higher for me.

When my bug is licensed and on the road one day, I will install my sound, that has been patiently waiting, and post pics, stealth install is planned. 2 x 6x9 pioneers, 1 x 10"pioneer sub (10" give better base over a larger range imho than say a 12"or a 15").
4 x 100watt rms amp, sony headunit and a pair of 100watt tweeters.

Anyone know where I can get the bracket to fit the radio in the glovebox ?
