i wanted to swop the golf headlights more so the angel eye headlights from autostyle, the cti seats, golf seatbelts, and possibly engine parts like maybe wiper motor, alternator etc.

Re: Golf parts in a beetle
Golf headlights would fit,you might just have to modify the tabs a bit, IIRC.
Seatbelts fit.
I'm going to be using CTI seats in my fastback, they can be made to fit, although it's not an easy job
No idea about the wiper motor, but the alternator most definitely won't work on a Type 1 engine.

If you are adding a sound system, then get an alternator.
I killed 4 gennies in short time until I managed to have enough cash for the alternator conversion. No issues since.

Did the 75 stil have a genie?and yep alot of things from a golf work on a bug like the diskbrakes...your best bet to get parts in durbs is at volkspares in umgeni road close to the rugby stadium...it looks like a old garage and theres always a acvw outside

Would polo playa or classic seats fit in a beetle?? Also saw a set of corsa lite seats, what about them?

Re: Golf parts in a beetle
Dubster, a 75 beetle came from the factory with an alternator, early 75 had external regulator, later 75 had internal regulator.
For what it's worth, ignorance has no limits ......
