Ford Capri V4 Engine

Post by The Gymkhana Fanatic »

I scored this engine at quite a good price but I would like my bay window to remain aircooled and decided to go the 1600 route in the meantime. I do not know much about this engine but It was running before being pulled. Its not in great cosmetic shape

I am looking at R1000 or nearest offer

Who would be able to make an adaptor the make this engine work in a bay window? Maybe I can use it in my Westy. I have an V6 radiator and old merc grill I can put on the nose.

Why not fit the radiator underneath the bus between the chassis rails? If you fit a scoop and fans it will save the look and be totally functional should also help with avoiding airlocks?

I was thinking of making it like a hot rod Westy, painted black with yellow and red flames, then the radiator and Merc grill will work better with the overall hot rod look

Thank you :) ...I also like the first shot the most. Im not sure if you are into bikes but I did a similar thing with an old bmw the other day and I tried it out on the engine.

Is that your BMW cafe racer? It looks very nicely done. I'm toying with the idea of doing something similar with my R65.
