OK, so I have finally gotten a reply from the guys with prices.
They confirm the rubbers are German but cannot give a comment on the quality.
So... I am placing an order for a front window and rear window rubber.
If the quality lives up to the standards I am hoping for, I'll then place another order for more and come back to this thread.

O yea, forgot to add.... I need a few more numbers

This was in the reply I got
1x kit - 211 898 129 (can't find number in pricelist)
1x beetle rubber - 111 845 122 (can't find number in pricelist)
1x kit of door and window rubbers for fleetline panel van (need number)

Quick update:
The "test" rubbers are in SA. I'll hopefully be picking them up this week coming.
If they arrive in time, I'll bring them to the Newlands breakfast on Sunday http://www.aircooledvwsa.co.za/viewtopi ... 60#p299747

I picked up the rubbers which I ordered and they look wonderful.
