Early beetle fenders

Hi al.
I have 2 sets of early beetle front fenders for sale.
1st set is in good condition R800 for the set.
2nd set is not so good 400 for the set.
I am in jhb south.

Just asking first do the older fenders fit the newer 72 I know the lights are not the same, was thinking on trying to make the newer to look like the old. any one know if this could be done.

To be honest I have seen some newer bodies with early fenders fitted but not sure how they where fitted

You can fit early fenders to a late Beetl, but you'll have to address the problem of the different positions of the bumper mountings. On 67 and earlier Beetles, the bumper mounts are inboard of the fenders, with holes in the front valence. On later Beetles the bumpers mount through holes in the fenders. Mountings are totally different in position and shape/size.
