While you're still searching for those vents, you can use rubber edge profiles to make it look like vents, instead of having empty holes. At quick glance you'll not notice the difference.

Yes, my '69 1500 has only three vents facing vertically whereas my '71 has five, with three facing top and two facing the rear. I once looked for vents for a '70 Beetle and got some off a mid-70s, which didn't work.
