T2 etc waterproof car covers?

Post by acpaterson »

Guys,

anyone seen, or know of a locally available all-weather, waterproof car cover on the market for a T2 Van? I had one which finally ripped apart, and the local caravan covers are just rubbish!
Pls let me know if anyone has an option or idea? or, alternatively, anyone flying in to South Africa who could bring one from the UK?

cheers

Alan

Hi Alan

I’m taking my beetle next week to have one custom made.

If they already have the pattern, then they will make one...if not you will need to take it to them, so they can do their measurements and fittings.

It is a proprietary material they use. Romeo has a very good reputation in the 4x4 community....very nice guy!

Very nice. When it's custom built to fit, then nothing flaps around and can cause issues on the bodywork.

It has a bungee cord that you tighten and also eyelets.

If you want it to fit more like a glove, the complexity of the cars shape will be a factor.
