I'm happy with the finished look, came out exactly as I wanted it to. Admittedly, to look like this one needs to spend a lot more on the car than one thinks, but thats unfortunately due to the current exchange rate and pricing of the detailed bits. Overall though, this is now a decent looking 356 Speedster.

Thanks Mr T, Thanks Herman,
Took the missus out to Seapoint yesterday for a pancake and coffee, Car run's so much quieter with the matting installed, and also a lot smoother over the little bumps and manholes etc with air out the tyres. All in all, a very cool outcome as far as I'm concerned.

Shot guys,

I'd love to do the Speedweek and pan, but not with this car. I need to have something a bit more ratty, that won't mind all the dust and sand. This thing would just get trashed up there (if it even made it there..)
As all the mechanically minded pointed out since day one, to make this thing a performance car, I'd have to spend upwards of 30 K, which is not happening as it would price this cabbie over 150 K.. So, it's a more layed back Sunday cruiser with just enough to get around as stylishly as possible.

Cheers

Regards

Alan

Small finishing touches, the Chassis Badge I got in from SM is stupidly small, or we poor chops in SA have stupidly long chassis numbers, so I got the important two numbers engraved on a piece of steel, and made a replica Decal for it. Came out great.

Stunning day in Cape Town today, so went to visit some relatives...

Interesting emails since I posted in Gumtree for a meet and greet in Cape Town.. No other Speedies, but a few interested buyers. Wonder if they'd drop the money I would want.. 8)
