356 Headlight

Post by Mustang Sally »

Hi Guys, sad day. Was driving behind a quarry truck yesterday and saw the stone as it was kicked up and knew it hit me somewhere on the front. Hoped that it wasn't in an obvious spot but when I checked the old girl at home she got it squarely in the the middle of the right headlight. :(
In the market now for a new lens. Any suggestions about where to start looking? Alan I know you recently received a nice package with complete assemblies - do you still have contact details? Ta much!

Post up a photo of your other headlight lense, MS. There were many different variations through the years. :)

Hp is how fast you hit the wall, and Torque is how far you take the wall with you."

Howzit,

I will have spare but not right now, about a month's time if you want to wait. Also, if memory serves me correctly, the frame and lense are one piece on mine. I'm sure it's all glued and together to seal the beam. If you haven't found one by the time I get mine back and start the rebuild where I will then be taking the old lights off, then we can chat no problem buddy.

Cheers

I bought my new one's from Sierra Madre Collection in the USA. As I mentioned, I WILL have one for you next month once I've got the car home and I can remove my light and fit to the new housings.
if you wanna use the car, why not just Tape up the lense with wide sellotape?

Cheers

Just to confirm, I've stripped mine down completely, and the glass is out the crappy rusted frame, so if you still want it, let me know.
Have sent you a PM.

cheers
