sooooooooooooooooooo an update.

I went to SARS and was told that there was nothing they could do, send it back to customs 90 - 120 days for them to place a value on it and also no guarantee that they will drop the value. I got hold of a helpful woman who said that more than likely it is listed as a luxury item and falls into a different vat and duties bracket. I thought that I was screwed and was sulking till she calls me back 5 minutes later after looking at the scans.

Vintage screwed up. They listed the shipping invoice as 21 licence plate lights with a value of $840.00.

Soooooooooo, I've gone back to vintage, hoping for some sort of resolve to this matter as I had to maar pay the bucks as leaving anything at SAPO is just asking for it to be stolen. I'm planning on buying a few more things from VS, but hulle moet reg maak met my.

Had a similar thing when bringing in weber carbs, they forgot to add the word vintage before the parts, and came up with a customs tag of 100% the value of the goods.

Had the guys send it back, and resend it the 2nd time, correctly worded, when all was correct. cost me 18% of value of goods and shipping.

I need some advice please; the steering has some play on it and it does not like going straight.

The twin down-drafts needs a tune.

JHB please.
