Do them like that blue beetle...

Inner part white, outer part match to car colour.
Do'nt do whitewalls, it looks sh##t. (Just my own humble opinion).

Staying Aircooled is so much nicer.
Do'nt assume anything- (While doing fault-finding).

As you can see, the reason the steel wheels are still not on, is because I am not sure what will look best.

Since you don't have body trim and it looks like a standard model, it is tough to say. Why don't you put up styles you like and would want a vote on?

You could alrways have Iron Bru stickers made up for the sides and go for appropriate colour wheels. Red ri,s with chromes or red rims with beige domes and white walls.

Hi All,
Used the Beetle as a Sacrificial Lamb, for the A-Frame, test.

Due to good Engineering work, (other wise called Luck) the A-Frame worked.

So needles to say, I still have the Beetle in tact.

The Tread can be seen here http://www.aircooledvwsa.co.za/viewtopi ... =4&t=22298

But here is proof that the beetle survived the test.

Image

Now we can take more then 1 ACVW when we go on outings. ( one to drive and one spare) :TIC:

Will be painting the Beetle rims this week.

The Fastback wheels, that are on the beetle at this moment, need to go back to the Fasty, so will be painting the inner ring white, or should I say Ivory, and the outer ring black.

Then will be fitting the Chrome hubcaps, and new tyres.........outsh!, what cost....
