Hi Retrobug!

Thanks for the enthusiasm :D. I had heard from Joggie at the beginning of the week, funnily enough. He's slowly started re-assembly so the two pics he sent me aren't really much different from some of the others already added. What I can say is that the fenders are all on, with their new welts, new side chrome beading is on and new rubber seals and lenses for the cigar-indicators are installed. Headlights too are in.

I do have to go to him at some stage (not been there since dropping the car off at the beninning  ) to drop off some new rear lenses I've ordered from Rui. I plan on taking a few pics myself when there :)

I'll keep you all in the loop  .

Thanks again!

I got this teaser from Joggie via MMS over the weekend. I nearly choked on the vino I was knocking back! It appears to be coming along nicely :D ...

Hi guys!

Here are a few more pics Joggie sent. Min dae! :D

I've actually ordered new Hella all-red tail lights which I am due to collect any day soon. Joggie has put on my originals in the interim. I must say, I think it looks rather snazzy as is :D

Can't WAIT!

Looking very cool Gavin! 8)
I hope it's not Daisy's markings on the driveway!
I noticed you have a switch either side of your ash tray!
The one is the ignition, what is the other for?
My 62 also has the two positions but has a backyard PO wiper switch conversion in the other hole. :( (will be fixed soon)

 I too hope that's not Daisy taking a leak  . It never leaked before. I'm guessing it's after Joggie gave the bumper a clean or something. I'll soon find out :|

I do have switches either side. It is something I wanted closed up but I couldn't find an original ignition set up. It's the way it was when I got the car and must have been done years ago as it's very old elements making it work. The one side is the ignition key and the other one is the "Start" button - kinda like on these new fancy BM's and Merc's  . I don't know the car any other way so I've left it :) .

All the other switches on there work as they should barring the wiper-squirty thing. I tried getting that to go but I think the valve in the switch needs servicing. Again, not something I'm too fussed about. I managed to get the washer system working on my '68 once. As you know they work from either pressurizing the water bottle with compressed air or, on older cars like this one, from pressure from the spare wheel. My '68 suffered a burst pipe a few blocks from the filling station where I'd pressurized the bottle. It wasn't fun - wet crotch-driving never really is ;)

Thanks for the compliments :hangloose:
