Hi Jolas & Bushpig

Hahaha.....I couldn't ask for a better neighbourhood watch now could I ? :hangloose:
Yip, she's got a boyfriend. :callook: You'll notice there are 2 car covers now.....and the 1600SP in red.
The flash of yellow you saw under the one cover Jolas is a Porsche Spyder 718RSK Replica with a 1600SP Twin Port & Cowley exhaust.
Under the other cover is a flawless complete white beetle shell that I'm reserving as an organ donor should my red SP require any.

Would B gr8 to have a meet and greet at the next Open/Tech day! :deflag:

Keep on stylin' !!!!!

Sambas in South Africa are good for only 2 things: showing off and sunburn.

Nice collection! Who scrapped such a nice Beetle body?

I trust you're going to correct the spelling of Porsche on the spider. There's no accent on the e, although it is not a silent e. If it did have an accent it would be grave (è = uh) as opposed to acute (é = ay). :hangloose:

Nice looking SP, the 5spd gearbox must have been swapped and is thus now a 4 spd, not as original as the bug in the UK! You also missing the " 5 STUD SPRINTSTARS". Definately not a genuine SP1600. I only know and have also seen Lemmertz Rostyle...

Just out of curiosity, are the SP carbs the same as the Brasilia's? Brasilias have a more squarish fanhousing and their alternators are a mere 35A units.

If it had a 5 speed gearbox, it would no longer be original and would have lost a lot of it's value.

A 5 speed "SP" is really valueless since it must have been converted to look like a SP but is not.
