UPDATE :
ok so been busy in the last 3 days

Day 1 :
ok so after realising not long back that my front beam didnt have the two little threaded pieces of pipe that fasten onto the body :crying: decided instead of going into the trouble of having to cut off the whole support and having a new one welded in decided that would rather use the donor bugs front beam (that has the two things that i needed) so removed it and then stripped it so that it could have the adjusters welded in hopefully soon all dependin on a few things :hangloose: just a matter of time now and then it will all go back together.

day 2:
Then since i didnt know that i had to get the brass bushings out of the front spindle carriers, before i powdercoated the other side front spindle carrier i removed them Then once i had sorted all that out contacted a company in the states that does rebuilds on all airccoled vw's that where very helpfull with all my Q's that i had for them  poor guy im sure he has never typed so much in his life

day 3:
rostyles where supposed to go into booth today as they didnt make it in a few days ago but while speaking to the sandblaster decided to put getting them blasted on hold for a while, then while walking past the new rear apronit got a knock revealing a nasty suprise finding out that there was a very nasty fiber glass repair done on it so will see what happens there

ok so a little update

got the speedo cleaned up and gave it a coat of paint looks way better now just a few more things and then it will be compleate then set up the first side of the disk brakes, now all that has to happen is when the other side gets back from the powder coaters it will have its hub put on and then have its king and link pin bushings pressed in (on my list of things to get).Am waiting for a few things to arrive then can take a few more steps forward at the moment have been making up something to be able to get the pan around easily and then eventually will move it onto a dolly once the pan halves have been welded in (also on my list of things to get). The front beam is sitting one side till i have money again and then it will be off to bugger to get the adjusters welded in (1st on my list of things that i have to do).then was able to find the internals for the handbrake (thanks to HR and chris) then on saterday took delivery to a little sumthing but am still deciding wether i want to use it or not but will see (all in good time)

i mite end up using these till i have cash to get adaptors

im not gonna be using the shorter beam on the car

the new beam has both the two piece of treaded bar that hold the body to the beam the one that got chopped didnt

this is what the cut beam will be used for (below) it just makes spraying cleaming and assembly much much easier
