Good understanding of templates (generics) and SDLC is an absolute must!
Someone who knows how to write crash proof software, using the tools above.
Disciplined coding style and the ability to design, using best practices is not negotiable.

Dirk somebody will phone you. I asked a collegue of mine if he could recommend anybody and he will pass on your info.

Yes Tom, they do exists. I'm one of them.
My software is allowed to crash on the test machines only. Live is not an option, it must run without crashing regardless of load.
But then again, I do have the advantage of working on a proper operating system.
In Windows, crash proof software is a miracle. Under Linux, I know my software will run, even if the machine manages to burn a memory dim.
