Hi
Does anybody know the price of a decent spray job for a beetle? I've tried searching online... but that comes up with a
load of useless information.
Thanks in advance

I'd say anything less than 20k is a bodge. Problem is quality, even spending 15k means they don't do the prep work as you'd expect.

Well bud, it really depends on the cars condition. and how anal you are, showroom or good enough?? it can range from a 6k backyard job that looks wicked. or a 20k spraybooth job that may turn out kak... ask around, do so shopping around... Aircooled can be as expensive as you want it to be.
More than meets the eye!

At least then the expectations of the owner are understood by both parties. Challenges of the painter too.
It's a WIN WIN!!!

The great part about spraying is you can hire a compressor for about R160.00 a weekend, buy a gravity feed gun, some duco and at least play around and get the knack. As stated before though, the prep work is 95% of the real work and the paint is the cherry on the cake. I have found it great fun and a good challenge to spray your own car. If you make a bit of a stuff up you just have to sand a bit more.
On the other hand watching a master with a gun doing his thing is also quite awesome.

i preped the speedster on and off for 2 years
. all it needed after that was a 5k sprayjob!!! prep yourself, pay for a painter, unless you have time to teach yourself!!
