Saw this letter today in the November 2002 issue of Volksworld. I'll leave it to Fig to tell the rest

Saw it in Kruger 2 weeks ago. Named Bos Donkie on the back I took pics
Life begins at 80 and ends shortly after in a temporary court on the side of the road.

Re: What happened to Zebi the Famous Fleetline?
I only saw this thread now ...
Pine promoting Fleetlines? Must be going soft ...
We sold Zebi at the end of the ZebraSafari to a German collector, Thomas Gahl, who specialised in collecting unique and oddball buses. Zebi was the 18th bus in his collection. Unfortunately a change in his situation saw Thomas selling his entire collection shortly afterwards.
Enter Albert (http://www.thecoolvw.com ), who bought Zebi from Thomas. He got her running again and displayed her in his museum, as well as taking her out to ACVW shows. Albert owned Zebi for about two years, before selling her on to a UK restorer who also has a private bus museum. I haven't had any contact with him. I think he still owns the bus, but he had it for sale on thesamba.com for more than a year at £10k, no takers.
