I turned my bus ...
Trying to find other pics of the rotisserie we built for 'Scruffles'... it turns in its own axis... no need to roll....

It can be turned by pushing it with 2 fingers... for real!
We had the dilemma of either doing the half roll cage like you did, but due to it taking up to 4 bays in the workshop, we made up the rotisserie from scrap, but solid metal lying around. As you can see it is easily moved around as it rolls on 4 extra heavy duty castors. Also circled in red in one of the pics, I showed where the optional handle can be inserted to turn the bus, as well as the 14 mm nut that securely locks the bus in place after it has been turned to any angle you chose. Also circled in red is the high lift bottle jacks that we use to lift the bus to the required height so that we dont kill our backs.... lol!
We could not be bothered to paint it, so rat look it is....!
