Re: VW Fleetline Bus History & Spec
This history confirms my belief that the much maligned Fleetline deserves much more respect than it gets due to it's uniqueness, rarity, and it's Proudly South African-ness, even if it was made in Brazil and only assembled in SA and the quality of the build is not as high as the German buses. That baywindow Fleetline "Brazilia" with the IRS RGB suspension is really a speciality. I've seen a couple of them, one on show next to Gill's bus at the Hermanus Whales Festival the year before last. The pink-orange one, I'm sure many of you know it. I spent a lot of time checking that one out. It's ugly, that's true, but it's very unique.
