Re: My bug - version 1 - Suicyde - the ongoing project
Hey Tony, here is a question which has had me head spinning for a few days. Your bug's box has been Buggered, does this mean you running good quality longer gears, or doe it mean you running a 5 speed box too? Suicyde be looking spanking, a clean engine, and nice lines to her. No wonder why the Geogians were asking if she be fg, I mean, how did you get her "seamless"?!

Box is still 4 speed - price of the 5 speed conversion isnt worth the investment. The bits needed from USA is in the region of $2000 without the shifter, body mods, and all the extras, so plan about R30K on top of the extra work you want done to the 4 speed....
Otherwise its a full blown gbox with all the bits i wanted and a few extra that I asked Bugger to do. I wont go into details, but lets just say that having free shipping from USA to work (and thus not paying imports, shipping or tax) saved me about 20K on the total price.
Smooth body = plenty filler - I have it and wouldnt recommend it to anyone - its on my list of things to reverse oneday.
Thanks for the compliments. Remember its my toy and a street car - it will never progress to a show car cause i want to use it, but I try to keep it looking good and clean.

Thanks. She does get a few looks, but also the noise when I put my foot down gives a lot of people a surprise (and sets off car alarms).2BugMe wrote:Wow,

they came with SP7000s which will be thrown away as soon as I can track down semi-slicks
they fit under the fenders, but the fronts rub when turning. Trick is to have disc brakes on all 4 corners

Re: My bug - version 1 - Suicyde - the ongoing project
Was wondering something about the under steer you had when we went around the circle in George? Did it not have someting to do with the amount you dropped the front and the size of the front wheels that caused it?
What are your thoughts?

Re: My bug - version 1 - Suicyde - the ongoing project
2 reasons....
1) 7.5J tyres rub and the turning circle sucks.
2) found out front tyre has puncture and being low profile on that car (light) you cant even tell its flat until you need to turn

Re: My bug - version 1 - Suicyde - the ongoing project
two videos have finally uploaded.
The 2332 engine is now running damn well. Clocking up 170hp at 5320rpm and 245Nm of torque at 4450rpm
This video shows how good the Porsche replica rims look
and this one shows two 0-100km/h blasts from a rolling start.
