I already have 2 and only one beetle.....Mrs DD would go mad!

I have however, contacted the seller to see if he still has it and what I'm thinking is, if I get it for peanuts.....then I will sell on the site and the you lot only have to pay the shipping charges!

Not only is it about the cost of insurance, but the (potential) cost of replacing panels etc after accident damage. Being in the UK, there is more easily available parts etc etc etc......

isnt it amazing how europeans have no problem shipping anything to so south africa , i myself have sold parts to sa ,
however when i needed to order parts for my sp1600 its taken three years due to the atitude and lack of trust despite my willingness to pay upfront , and just to make you all ill i pay £175.00 sterling for agreed value of £100.000 for my sp as its unique in europe and no insurance company recognises it and thats not a mistype lol

Ron&Gill wrote:Why do you guys always think everybody's better off in the UK? There's nothing wrong with SA. You just have to avoid the rip-off artists and criminals, just like in any other country in the world. Just be proudly South African. There... spoke like a true Dutchman...
I don't think anyone in the UK is better off. But... in first world countries with larger market caps there is more competition and therefore much less "ripping off". There are a few big firms that dominate each market segment here. If I am not happy with some monopolists service/prices in SA its just a matter of tough luck.

All said and done I would not want to be anywhere other than in SA, and I am Proudly South Africa :drunks:

I'm not so sure.....it's been a nightmare getting Mo & Bobbie here and that was all on the South African side! I haven't even started the fun over here in getting MOT and registering here with the DVLA.
