at the moment the carb is off and what looks like a fuel problem. once i sort things out (clean out the fuel line, tank etc) ill get back to you.

yes its been a while,and as you know ol 66 is sold. however the new owner is in not soo much of a hurry to take delivery so i got more time to play with it. what i thought was minor rust in the compartment under the battery i thought ill replate it for my piece of mind. when removing all the rust to get to a solid spot to weld i dicovered this

aah well, now new stainless steel plates were welded into the cutouts

carpets and seats were put back. entire interior needs a valet tho. thats what sundays are for, not Canal Walk

also found in awsome condition a set of sunvisors and og specific to '66 seat bealts. gave it a good clean. pix to follow

Nice work on the replacement of the pan sections. Imagine the new owners suprise when "stepping" into the back the first time! Good on you for replacing them. Still think this car is such a looker!

gave it a good wash inside and out and fitted the numberplates. i used the old school metal plates and added a twist. the sunvisors came out real good with "aviater style" seatbelts.

theres a bit of a leak at the oil switch. is to be concerned about or will some thread tape do the trip?

fitted rear woven wicker speaker tray with hidden speakers
fitted new shiney stainless sill covers (bugpack)
and.............

as of today its licensed and roadworthy. picked up my disc today

however
spoke to a budy of mine who is a self educated mechy/body repair guy who restores his own vehicles. as i would like to learn the skills of "restoration", but not have all the time and funds to go thru the usual chanels, he is willing to teach me on weekends or when hes available in a fewmonths time. surprisingly while evesdropping on our conversation another buddy was willing to sacrifice his fasty to be restored by me. he gets the finished product and i get the knowledge. happy dayz ahead. watch out for a new fasty thread
