Update
I took this weekend to get the ball rolling again
some parts i found is the fusebox and ignition switch these are still available from Bosch and is an exact match to the original
I bought 20 liters of resin, gel polish release agent and me and david got suck in First we closed all the holes with masking tape for te small ones, hardboard for bigger ones and 0.5 galvanised sheet for others. I used plasticene for blemish filling and the making of fillets. once this was done we polished everything with cobra polish and coated it with release agent
if only rust repair was so easy but the gel forgives much

The dash will be modded to 58 specs which means that the headlight and choke switches will be above and not below the instruments the clock hole in the center of the dash will just be filled. that dash is from a '60 356b the rest seems identical
A little more happened today the dash top is in gel and the lower engine tray is being moulded

I think Armand has more or less the same approach as me with HW2 ie - build it for yourself, regardless.
I specifically try not to keep track of all my expenses, because it might just happen that one would add everything up one day, and then it would not make sense anymore.
But on the other hand, perhaps it would be better to keep track of money spent on the 356 rep, to get more or less an idea what a second and third car would go for?

I agree with regards to building it for yourself............previous beetle had 65k in it, I sold it for 25k.............but loved every day in that car.
