Hi Ken, please post some photos of your bus as soon as possible - start a thread under "my ride". In the meantime, can you tell us if it is a pick-up, panel van, kombi, etc, etc. Perhaps also give us the chassis number and we can help you out from there. Also update your profile/avatar so that we know where about you are i.e Cape, Gauteng, where ever ................What makes you think it may be a '55 ?
Cheers !

Hi im Roedolf. Im 19 year old and a second year marketing student at unisa. I have a Willys replica, green, and I have been building it up, working on odds and ends, from Jan 2009. Ive bought the willys for R9000 and has spend about the same amount on it. Im a easy going person thats always open to learn something new. I love the outdoors and my wish is to do a trip to Namibië with my willys.

Hope the above is sufficiant enough if you have any questions feel free to ask Here is a Hyperlink to some pics

Welcome BO3R! I really like the Willys replica, it reminds me of the Tamiya Wild Willy :hangloose:

Hey everyone. I'm an avid Beetle fan and the proud owner of a '74 1600. I don't know much about mechanics but i'm eager to learn as I go along.
My ride is 2-tone (B&W) and i've recently installed roofracks (replicas of the original imported from the UK). I'm super proud of her and always looking to improve her appearance.
Anyone got a good contact for interior upholsters in CPT? I need the driver's side repaired.

Hi All..

I sorta forgot to do the intro thing when I joined up last year.. well here I am saying hi, my name is Riaan and I've been into and involved with aircooled VW's since I was about 4 or 5 years old (a family thing these ACVW's) so its been a long time now. My first car was a '73 1600 Beetle called Piesang, I currently own a Spyder kit car running a 2.0l Kombi motor. I'll try and post some pics in the not too distant future..

Hi all, I was told about this site after i bought my 1st beetle from one of your members "stompie-wp", i previously had a Daihatsu Charade Cx 1986. Which i sold because it had a huge lack of power, id be going 140kmph down a hill and then 60kmph up a hill, ever since i bought the Beetle Ive been accelerating up hills with out trouble.

I would love to join club events with my 1976 VW Beetle 1600s, whose name was stompie which i secretly call Juusu, which means juice, because its a very thirsty car.
