Buggy on the roof

Post by Pine »

Older Forum members would recall that I bought a yellow buggy a couple of years ago. The running gear and chassis was basically too far gone to be saved, but I kept the shell. It has been stored on a friend's farm near Bapsfontein for a while, a fellow Forum member actually bought it from me, but changed his plans because he got a better one.

The shell might become available again if someone else is interested? The dash and bonnet was with me all the time.

Went to go and fetch it today, and the only way I could transport it, was on the roof of the Baja!

On my way there, I managed to get 120kmh (GPS) top speed, but on my way back the best I could do was 100km/h (GPS) because of the wind resistance.

Got some funny looks from people passing me, though...

Looking at around R 3000 for it (body, bonnet, dash), but furthermore it will include various other parts like window frame, roll bar, seats, wheels etc.
