Adjustable beam?
Does anyone know how much an adjustable beam is for a beetle?
and I heard someone say that they traded in their old beam and got discount on the adjustable one?
And how much would a pair of adjusters cost?

Re: Adjustable beam?
I will try and find out for you I seem to think around R1700 but then again I was not paying much attention. If it is your oval suspension I will swop for a later model then you can trade that one in or get it hacked up. How about it !

Re: Adjustable beam?
Dave Rowley at FFR has the adjustable beams with the adjusters welded in and the whole thing powdercoated black for R1200 on exchange of your old beam.
Dave also has the adjusters for R200 ea you need 2.

Re: Adjustable beam?
What I know I still have available:
1] adjustable front beam R1200.00
2] sway a way 19 mm anti roll bar R1090.00
3] disc brake hub kit R1020.00
4] 2 x wheel bearing kits R270.00
5] reconditioned stub axles[king/link pins] R950.00
6] tie rod for steering damper R225.00
7] 3 x tie rods R225.00
8] urethane steering coupler R120.00
9] urethane torsion seals R160.00
10] castor shim set R145.00
R5405.00
It’s all brand spanking new. Have it for 5k
Other stuff that came with it:
I have to be home to check availability, because I think I used the callipers and discs on Gill’s bus or the Razor...
11] 2 x vented discs R290.00
12] 2 x new callipers R580.00
13] bosch brake pads R240.00
14] 2 x kyb gas shocks R1440.00
R2550 .00
This I used on the Razor:
15] steering box R1620.00
This I installed on Rumours (it never had one, WTF?!?):
16] steering damper R355.00
R9 930.00
I got the whole lot for R8937 [less 10%] from Dave. Good ol’Dave...
Anyway, this gives you an indication of what it costs to replace all with new, good quality stuff as well as those little hidden items like steering couplers and castor shims.

Re: Adjustable beam?
No, it was the 4x100 Golf stud pattern, see my later post for details. I can't remember if I used the discs or if they are still available and I'm not home to check. I am in Angola...

Re: Adjustable beam?
No the 5x205 pdc disc will not fit on there, but you can get. from Dave, adapters that allow you to put 5x205 pcd rims onto 4x100 hubs.
It is all assembled except the tie rods, and the steering coupler and castor shims obviously.

Plus items 11, 12 and 13, (and 14 if you want them) for the prices listed. But remember what I said, I have to get home to see if I didn't use that stuff on Gill's bus or my Razor. I can't remember...
Vader, we can talk, unless Classic Beetle Fan over here decides he wants what I've got. Fair's fair. I can't really tune him he can't have it now, can I?
