Transport Thread
So we all buy stuff from other members and as most of us have figure we all don't stay in throwing distance from each other. So be it a car or speedo cable, im sure there is someone who has a bit of extra space in their bag, or on an empty trailer.. So before going off and posting it or organizing for a courier or transport company, it might be a good idea to first try see if there is not someone going from CPT to JHb or wherever it may be. Maybe this will help a few people out.
So thanks to KCW The rules are simple:
- Post if you have an empty trailer/Bag and what areas you'll be driving/flying to.
- Post if you have something difficult or something you need to transport.
- Don't be a dick, offer to pay for transportation services, offer a a place to stay for the night, ect, ect.
- Don't be a dick, no charging full price for something that was convenient for you to transport....Unless you had to go out your way, like change the suspension under a bus so that it would roll onto a trailer. (the guy having you do transportation should have already handled stuff like that).
Happy Transporting

That said, i have a transporter going to and from Durb - Gauteng(various areas) atleast 2wice a week and have enough space for anything as big and heavy as an aircooled motor/gearbox.
Costs involved are minimal.

Re: Transport Thread
I just bought a small, light luggage trailer, in towable condition, in Port Shepstone. I need to get it to GP. Looking for ideas ...

Will Power,
Mental telepathy
Phone a friend....,
If you can not get some one on the forum to tow it up for you, I do know, some of the smaller courier services will do it for you, Cheaper then Car transport.
Or maybe start a RELAY system, each member gets to tow it a few Km, as they move up the coast.
Hope you come right.

Re: Transport Thread
Anyone doing a Pretoria to Cape Town run. I need to get 2 wheels (with tyres) and other small bits for Hitler Revenge. I should be able to get the bits collected from Blitz and delivered to PTA or JHB.
