Discovered a treasure trove yesterday. No pics and no addy at the moment. I need to get on good terms with the owner.

I visited 3 containers yesterday out of about 10 with vw parts.

I scored a pedal cluster , a Fasty clock, Ghia tail lights and a 30 PICT Carb for R250.

Scored a cool pamphlet today. My uncle (in law) picked up a 8/65 vw bus brochure for Holland. About 10 pages with all the 66 year models and specs. Very close to my 67 double cab. Will try and scan sometime.

Yup..........there was a lot of them kicking around over the last few years. But these were normally totally assembled motors, I'd love to see some pics of what you lot have scored.

I think the compression is different as well as the valves, not 100% sure as I was looking into one a while ago, but the conversion would of cost almost double the price of the actual motor.

That lamp is awesome.

Nice one Jacques

I can send you some pics of the correct thickness wire and accessory 6v/12v cigarette lighter plug, as well as all the other bits and bobs, and the glycerine packet that your box is missing. Also, you have some of the instruction and warning literature missing, which is quite handy to have if you intend to use it as iM sure you are!
