I just got word that this blue oval, the one I was going to buy off a friend of mine a few years ago got stolen on Saturday night outside the Bohemia in Joburg. It is a music venue.
I will post up more pictures tomorrow.
If any of you guys see or hear anything please let me know.
He was playing a gig with his band Wonderboom that night. It was a charity show.

Bummer! I hope it's like the oval vert that was stolen in Melville and that it's found abandoned somewhere.
I hear from the local CPF that about seven cars are stolen every night in Melville (The Bohemian is in Richmond, right next to Melville).
Whenever mrsfig and I eat out in Melville, we always park where we can see the car from the restaurant.

I have some police buddys in Soweto ,I can circulate for you for some "special treatment"!
That is if the car heads into their area.

I dont mean to sound like a dick,...but what the f@ck did he expect? It was obviously going to go missing. I will keep a look out for it. Im hoping it was just taken for a joy ride and will turn up soon.

Ya. I hope so too.
that beetle was his daily drive. if he wasn't driving that, he was riding his Triumph motorbike.
He played a gig that night so ... not much can be done.
He is insured at least. but I hope it turns up. He is already looking out for a '66

The dirty muthersuckers -
We know exactly how that owner must feel right now - eating the proverbial ball of shit!
I still have a good idea that these nice cars are stolen to order and probably end up in other countries
Lets hope that this was a bunch of joyriders that took the car, and that it will turn up.
