Had this done by my local engeneer mate
Bushes made from Lead Phosphur bronze - same stuff we use for the tractor spindles
He started by taking off .2 mm from the centre pin
Was too much gap on the clamping area
So turned complete pin and bushes to fit
Job was 200 Zar for the bushes and 160 Zar for the pin

He recons if there are a few more in a batch then the cost will come down

Re: Center pins and bushes - Split
I'm interested in re-doing the king and link pins and centre pin on my '59 bus as well - anyone else in the "batch" ?

Sambas in South Africa are good for only 2 things: showing off and sunburn.
