Mozambican KG

Post by MrT »

Can anyone identify the year model of this KG originally from Mozambique? It is a LHD, has a SP motor with an alternator and external voltage regulator. I suspect that the motor was fitted much later in this vehicle's life.According to the owner it is a 1300 motor. Does the presence of an alternator indicate that it is a 12V electrical system?

I have put in a offer on the vehicle so imagine my curiosity!

HI

When you say SP motor fitted has it got twin carbs on ? then possibility a SP motor but SP motors was 1600 Might be a motor from a S curved windscreen Bug

You can use the Alternator as a indication that it have 12v electrics in
Adapterplates Available for Rotary in Beetle and others aswell
