Durban Club
Hey Guys
I know I haven’t been a very active member on this site but thought it was about time I get involved and help contribute.
I admire the way this site as grown and the way the CT & Jhb guys have such awesome events and clubs.
Has any of you guys managed to start a club in Durban? Would love to be a part of it as I believe I am able to help.
I do corporate branding and management, so will be able create the clubs logo right till the stages of web design, branded clothing and merchandise…. can even create us a magazine!
We can work on arranging some breakfast runs every 2nd month to the South Coast / Midlands where ever the road leads.
My point is, I’ve been a lover off vw’s all my life – due to financial circumstances I cannot afford one at the moment, but what’s stopping me from getting involved.
If you Durban guys are interested, feel free to contact me on or 084 600 8012
Trusting together we can grow the air-cooled passion in Durban
Thanks Everyone
Regards
Daniel Rambaly

Re: Durban Club
Are There any members with Splitty busses from Durban? Im not really the 'club' type. Maybe organize a run first and build a like minded friends circle.... clubs tend to be too much admin.... and get over regulated... Would live to chew the fat on project with like minde people though....

Re: Durban Club
Splitfan, do you have a email adress I can mail you on?
Burnthosetyres... I'm sure there must be a few guys in Durban with splitty's - you right about the club admin work, but I'm currently looking into some options.

Re: Durban Club
Tried and hardly succeeded...so just relocated to GP haha.
Seriously tho, a bit of advice, don't create a formal club, look into a social sort of set up. Formal clubs, as stated above have to many rules and fees.
Durbz guys are sloooow and not keen on spending money, (experienced) look into starting a weekly or monthly meet, invite eeeeeverybody! I mean eeeverybody even those pesky TRD boys lol. The bigger the gathering the more mouths talking about it. Try and find people with cool dubs, and ask if they will be interested in a bfast run, or beach park off. Where are you from? The aircooleds with mild to wild mods are in Chats I've noticed, I'm from Tongaat and the scene isn't beeg there, but some nice aircooled run around.
Hope my long ass post helps.
But yeah kick off a meet and greet somewhere central and start from there.
Nice to Meet you.

Found and followed thread. That's one sick bus! Saw it in SA Hot Rod mag. And... Safari windows, do they leak? Happy with rear axle conversion? I see its auto? How did you do the conversion?

Re: Durban Club
Hey Guys
Appreciate the feedback... not looking at starting anything hectic, like members registrations/fee's, etc ... thats when it starts to get too complicated.
... will be on leave this December, so will put some thought over it.
Thanks Guys
