Volkhart V2 Sagitta

This Beetle-based car from 1947 was tested in VW's wind tunnel earlier this year. Aerodynamically it out-performed even the new Golf 7 and Mercedes CLA.

With the early 19kw/24hp aircooled 1100 engine, top speed increased from 100km/h to 140 km/h.

Staying Aircooled is so much nicer.

it looks a lot like Porsches early racers (Berlin - Rome) I think they were...
