Hi everyone, yea, sorry not CT or even SA, i'm in UK. I wanted to show everyone in SA how she was doing. I'm sure quite a few of you know her and have seen her from trips to Fish Hoek. I'm trying to keep her true to how she was all the years she was in FH. Sad to say though that the sea air wasn't good to her. I've had one guy fom SA recently in the UK say he remembers seeing her when he was working as a life guard at FH. I hope to get many more pics up soon. If any of you guys are ever in the UK for a show let me know and we can meet up.

Sambas in South Africa are good for only 2 things: showing off and sunburn.

I kept as much as the sign writing as I could. A lost a bit on the front as I needed to replace the lower section of the nose.
There was graffiti on the side which didn't look so good.

It took ages to get it off. Solvent wouldn't touch it so I had to use wet and dry paper

Nearly there!

Done!
There was an outline of the word LESSONS where the graffiti was so I got some blue vinyl and tried to replicate the it

Great work resurrecting that bus!

Here are some pics in its former life, before the salt air took hold, taken in early 2004 when the bus was parked at Noordhoek as a billboard:

The sea air must have really taken hold since 2004, if anyone can remember what she was like in 2010 you will know how bad she was.
Here are a few more pics of what she's like now.
