Beetle to golf adaptor plate and clutch

Post by Michael11 »

I have a brand new adaptor plate that fits the vw water cooled engine 8 and 16 valve to the beetle box aswell as the custom fly wheel. I bolted it to my engine but am stopping with the project. I am looking for R3000 for this and then I have a brand new LUK clutch kit with pressure plate , friction plate and thrust bearing which I bolted to fly wheel and removed, it is brand new which I want R1000 for.

Thanks for the heads up. I am interested but off to DBN tomorrow for a week. I will make contact when I'm back and if its not sold I'm keen. Can I ask why you stopping the conversion?

Thanks

To be completely honest with you there have been a few reasons why I have stoped with this project. The main reason was that I did not have papers for my beetle and I decided to not proceeded any further than I already did to realize that I just could not get papers. To add on that I am a 3rd year mechanical engineering student so time is very limited and I'm up and down between Benoni and Pretoria way to much. So I decided that I would put my build on hold now. I still have my rebuilt 8 valve which I plan to keep for a caddy I want to build in December when I have some time off and then sell off some things which I won't need such as the adaptor plate and clutch and I also have a brand new golf radiator as well as a fan. But send me a PM and we can chat

Regards Michael
