I think it's the idea that you can squirt WITHOUT wiping immediately - especially when you have stax of muk on the screen and wanna soften it a bit. I have a mate in London that has the same car and I thought he never new what he was talking about when he said it had a VW motor.

Well, wouldn't call it a "vw motor", but it's aircooled and a boxer. Similar layout as acvw. The Citroen though is a front wheel drive, has 4 tappet covers rather than the 2 on acvw and runs 2 camshaft drive belts.
