I hope to see you at an event this year I have a lot of questions and would love to have a closer look at your car.

Yes I will try my best. I am in the process of installing multi-point fuel injection but at the moment my free time is very limited. I am the current reigning World Champion in the Mid and Long Range Muzzle Loader Shooting discipline and was selected for the Protea team again this year to go and shoot in the World Championships in Camp Butner, North Carolina. Lots of practice and preparation at the moment. To make matters worse we do not get any sponsors, despite being the most successful Protea Team in any sporting discipline the past 7 years, so I spent any money I had to fix the damage to the body work on flights and accommodation. :(

Congratulations!! Remind me not to get on your bad side.

What system are you installing again? And how is it coming along?

I am keeping the Gotech but am replacing the single point fi with individual injectors for each cylinder. In terms of wiring it is actually a small change to make to connect the four injectors. The issue is I had to pull and open the whole engine management harness to change the wiring and it has taken longer than I had anticipated. I already have a map from a similarly specced 1835 Turbo Beetle that Garrun from Volkspares is running so mapping mine should not be too much of a pain. The single point throttle body has an integrated fuel pressure control valve which I cannot use (even though I am keeping that tb as it also has an integrated tps) so it is mostly a question of getting the vacuum and fuel plumbing done. And the time to do it!

Wow sounds awesome.

Please post some pics

And on second thoughts I dont think I would like to go on a rune with you as I only have a std 1600 sp. I will be playing catch-up.

Oh and good luck with the shooting comp.

I will definitely post some pics. That little Spyder is going to run beautifully with a 1600 sp motor. Going on a run together is supposed to be a relaxed and anjoyable experience so no worries there. Thanks
