I swear by Firefox. Love it's ad blocker, and works on every Website I use.. HATE Ie..

Oh well, TFIF boys..
Indeed - Firefox still the best for me for banking, emails, etc - just cannot get ACVWSA to work on it anymore - really odd - I keep on getting logged out - even after clearing cookies, etc

Anyways enough of this, I'm outta here - hitting the long road with an empty trailer - and back on Sunday with a bus :D A lekker weekend to you all :hangloose:

Sambas in South Africa are good for only 2 things: showing off and sunburn.

I am doing this as a test.
After clicking on quick reply, I then click on the small writing under the reply box which says "add image to post"
I then get a window pop-up which asks me for an image location and if I want to resize the image and to what size
I click upload and it loads and pops the link directly into the quick reply window without any issues.

How long the pic remains loaded and how long the link works for, I dont know.
Over the years I have used photobucket. You will see that even in my old threads my pics still work.

Nope doesnt worj for me from the quick reply option, I go through the process, i.e resize, make "family safe", etc - then it opens a new ACVWSA window, but it is "dead" - cannot scroll up or down, select anything, etc - end up closing it and you are back to square one ....

Tony it's like I said before, we can choose thumbnails or just hotlink without thumbnail. Do you guys want to try the hotlink instead? This specific host has been up since 2004

OK, now I am trying the following
I make my post as I did in the first attempt of mine... so I load numerous pics.
I then click on preview, this will take you into the full editor and you will also be able to see your post as it will display (or pretty close to it anyway).

I then open each picture thumbnail in a new tab (right click and select open in new tab or hold ctrl and click on the thumbnail
This then opens the image that you want in a new tab
now right click on your image that is in the new tab and select "copy image location"
paste the image location to your thread (right click where you want it and click on paste - or just press "ctrl & V"
highlight the whole address and then click on the img button above the reply box, this then puts the highlighted item in between two brackets - Image

800*600
Image

1024*768
Image

1280*1024
Image

1600*1200
Image

no resize - 2560*1600
Image

yes its a bit of a run around, but it works...
I still prefer photobucket personally

Re: Picture Upload

it seems that the forum then automatically shrinks the image to fit into my screen... not sure about yours.

trying again to see if Eben made a change...

640*480
Image

no resize
Image

This seems to work now.
Open add image to post
click wherever you should
picture gets added to your post

Paul, go into your web browsers settings menu and click on options. I am assuming IE works similarly to Mozilla - it did last time I used IE.
click on content
You should see a pop-ups title and a tab saying exceptions
click on this exceptions tab
you will get to a page with a line saying that you can add an exception to the blockups...
enter http://www.aircooledvwsa.co.za into the address bar and click on add
close and restart your browser (IE)

maybe this will help you
