THANKS FOR THE KIND WORDS GUYS.
I DIDN'T HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH WRITING THE ARTICLE. I WAS CONTACTED BY THE "INDEPENDENT ON SATURDAY" AND THEY ASKED IF THEY COULD HOOK UP WITH US TO DO AN ARTICLE. ONE OF THEIR REPORTERS MET UP WITH US AND THAT'S WHAT CAME OUT.
I'VE ACTUALLY CALLED THE CLUB,"THE DURBAN KOMBI CLUB"; SO HE GOT THAT WRONG AND I DIDN'T EVEN CRACK THE NOD FOR A PIC....(NOT SUPRISING AS I'M NOT AT ALL PHOTOGENIC); BUT WE ARE ALL VERY HAPPY THAT WE GOT A MENTION AND HOPEFULLY GENERATE SOME MORE EXCITEMENT WITH REGARDS OUR BUSSES AND WHAT WE ARE DOING.

ANYONE IN THE DURBAN AREA NEXT SATURDAY CAN JOIN US AT "VINTAGE CAFE'" IN EATON RD, GLENWOOD/UMBILO FROM 11AM - 1PM. WE WILL BE DISCUSSING OUR LAST TRIP, OUR NEXT TRIP AND A CHARITY ACTIVITY WE WILL BE INVOLVED WITH.
CYNDI AND I WILL BE PROVIDING SOME MUSIC AND I HAVE NEGOTIATED SOME NICE PRICES ON THE GRUB.

THANKS AGAIN AND HOPEFULLY I SEE SOME OF YOU THERE.

Very nice to see how just a few people can forget about their daily lifes go out and have a good time and enjoy the simple things in life..You dont have to que to get into a spot ,no hot dog stalls,no one trying to sell you stuff at every corner you stop at and you do the run in your time. You eat good old fashon food and take a step back in life and enjoy your surroundings and company of those who have the same intrests as you Kombi"s and Beetles, you cant get much better than that.
Good one Mark and Cyindi as well as all the others who made it happen.
Maybe next year it will get more supporters and it will be kept simple and not become a commercial event.
NB.i am not in any knocking any other events or shows but purley saying what I see as a good way to enjoy yourselfs in a quite relaxing way.

Mark all these failled ops are taking there toll on me. my Early Bay is getting there slowly,I bought just about all the Triton machines there are to do the interior but I just do what I can when I can.theres one thing you cant buy and thats experience which I dont have when it comes to woodwork..I bought one of those tape measures that tell lies.+- 10mm Its a case of trial and error so I made sure I had spare wood incase the tape measure keeps tellinh lies. Enjoy
