Yes sure man............

Sold my 59 to Dixon, because of the colour, as i really loved the car, but could not live with the "Lindt" chocolate colour.

And the sad case of the Oval was sand colour, so thats also out.......

Wow amazing work, almost like one of the Grundmann KDF builds

Keen to see how this turns out.....Only the second split build on the forum.

Jdt1976,

Hi quality work...that Split is truly in good hands. I would still like to know how in the heck the paint is not burned off during the re- welding process of the rear vent. That vent area is a cow to truly restore. Maybe one day you will share that secret with us mere mortals....LOL? The wet rag with patience does not work with me and neither does the weld through hig heat primer that goes along with that.

Christian Grundmann en Axel Struwe is still learning...LOL!!!! :TIC:

Cheers,

Not sure how he is doing it, but what you do is cut it where you have access to both sides, weld it in , flat away the burnt paint, re-prime, repaint, spray into hollow, and wax.

Retrovan,

I have seen most of Jdt1976's cars in person and let me tell you..the work done to these vehicles are beyond reproach and very exact!!! The last Oval I saw from the above workshop had the vents painted already with all in and let me tell you it looks like it was dipped and spray better than the factory would have done it inside those vents.....just amazing.

Have no doubt that he does excellent work, was not what I was alluding to, only an opinion of how some guys do it.

I have seen some of his cars, and can not match that perfection, so Will never badmouth his work, and never did.
