Re: BUGgerd

Also refreshed the suspension and steering bits, changed the shift rod bush (not as hard as was told, well to my awesome mechanic uncle that is)

Nothing major done visually cept the addition or rust again! GRRRRR!!!!!

Hopefully while I'm up here in this freezing Pta my dad can get the car up, the target was for the show on Sunday but doubt I will be a participant just a spectator I guess.
Hope RedM wouldn't mind getting me a commerative coin
On the Bright side, I scored a job! Uber stoaked about that, means more cash to throw into this money pit of sorrowful joy.
Some arb pix cause we just can't seem to read without it.

Proudly branding the sticker.
Which also reminds me, I owe Mr Sonday a Sticker...and that I have a parcel shelf to fabricate!
Till the next update
Cheers
Junaid.

Re: BUGgerd
Woah! Been ages since this thread was touched.
Lots has been done, mostly to keep it running and cruising.
I moved up to Pretoria permenantly, left the Autobot down in Durbs.
Headlights were changed to angels, the new indicators put in.
Built new stainless steel side steps, (not the best work)
Rejetted and did serious work on the damn carb.
New wiper blades, installed a mp3 player, splits, coaxial, and 2 12" woofers Durban style Laaarnieee!!! Haha
This was all done while I'm working my ass off in the 012.
Thankfully I have an awesome uncle that's a kinda Wizz at everything.
So the most excellent news to date, the bug is on its way up to Pretoria from Durban, ON ITS OWN STRENGTH! Hahaha I'm sooo excited yet nervous and scared at the same time.
I have lil faith in the car after the turmoil and beetle luck they all give us. But hey my uncle is Confident it will drive up.
Fingers crossed and faith restored I'm eagerly waiting tommorow afternoon when I get to drive my car in its new hometown.
The trip will begin early Weds morning and take the N2 to Pretoria. Haha Van Reenens will be fun.
Wish Autobot and my uncle luck guys, they gonna need it.

Sambas in South Africa are good for only 2 things: showing off and sunburn.

Re: BUGgerd
Cannot believe this hasn't been updated in 6 years!! I probably have a project thread somewhere. But here's some pics of the car as it currently is. I have just maintained and kept him in tha garage except for the occasional car show or quick drive.
Gotten wheels on, new fresh brakes, stainless running boards all custom. And mot recently a slam. Dropped it as far as it could go while still being drivable.
